Pip Murphy Photography | F.A.Q's.

What best describes your style of wedding photography?

We would describe our photography as documentary style. We aim to capture the whole story of your day as it unfolds and deliver memories for you to cherish forever. We do minimal posing and try to capture the day as naturally as possible, hopefully after the initial few photographs you will even forget we are there.

How long do you stay for on the day?

The time we stay with you during the day is based on which package you choose. We offer packages based on time, this way you can effectively plan your photographer around your movements on the day.

What shall we do for our group shots?

We recommend trying to keep your group shots to a minimum, obviously it's nice to have pictures of all your friends and family at your special day. We recommend having a large group shot of everyone and some smaller groups e.g. wedding party, parents and friends

What happens if the weather is bad?

Unfortunately this is something we can't control, we endeavour to still capture all your required shots. From our wealth of experience in difficult situations we can come up with creative ways to give you the pictures you truly deserve. As a backup we always bring external lighting in case we have to shoot indoors.

How far will you travel?

We are based in Plymouth but we love to travel and see exciting new places, Please get in touch and we can discuss travel arrangements.

Do we have to sign a Contract agreement?

We always send out a contract for you to sign, it is just as important to protect both parties and to have an agreement in black and white so that we both  know where we stand and what to expect in terms of service etc.

When do we need to pay?

To secure a wedding booking we ask for a 20% booking fee (non refundable), this will ensure that you have the date secured and nobody else can book it. The full remaining balance to be paid 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

Do you expect food?

The decision to feed us is completely up to you. We don't expect a three course meal, but a small bar meal is always appreciated.

Are you insured?

We are fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity.

Do you offer wedding albums?

We do indeed. This is something we sit down with you after you have received your final pictures, the amount of choices available today is staggering and we tailor our albums to each couples individual needs and taste, we work with several different album companies to give you the best choice of style and budget.

What happens after the wedding day?

After your big day we edit all your photographs and aim to have them to you in 4/5 weeks. This is a long process as we edit every image you receive. After that they are uploaded to a secure online album for you to view, only you will get the password so you will be the first to see your images. When you are happy you will receive all your high resolution images in Jpeg format so that you can print and display where you like.
